What we need in the United States is not division; what we need in the United States is not hatred; what we need in the United States is not violence and lawlessness, but is love and wisdom, and compassion toward one another, and a feeling of justice toward those who still suffer within our country, whether they be white or whether they be black. 

这一部分，使用排比，使演讲的风格更有气势更吸引人，将主题联系到价值观，不断呼吁观众采取正确积极的态度。 

Using parallelism to make the speech style powerful and appealing. To link the subject with universal values. So I ask you tonight to return home, to say a prayer for the family of Martin Luther King --yeah, it's true -- but more importantly to say a prayer for our own country, which all of us love -- a prayer for understanding and that compassion of which I spoke. 第二部分，以真实事件的正义主角之名号召观众。To call on the audience in the name of the just protagonist in the real event. 

通过将主题联系真实事件和现实情况，提升主题的重要性，让演讲的主题有更深刻的含义。Connect the real event and reality with the subject to make it more profound. We've had difficult times in the past.
